Essence's 17-piece Set

Hello Beauty World ;)

A while ago me and my friend came across an offer on one of the Slovenian's  discount sites. It was about an  Essence Set of makeup. And if there is anything I deeply love about makeup, it is Essence stuff. And also I knew that these products were a great add to my collection and also I got a beautiful see-thorough makeup bag with it (I've been wanting one of those for a while).

Here is the content of this lovely set:

EYES:

1. Essence eyeshadow - 33 it's my party

- matt effect, super-soft & long lasting eyeshadow
This is a beautiful teal color and goes perfectly for spicing up a natural look.

2.Essence Quattro eyeshadow - 01 Ciao Bella!

- 4 shades, perfectly matched for trendy looks
I was super excited to see this palette in my set, since it is one of my all time favorite quattros from Essence.

3.Essence Long lasting eye pencil - 14 Think Khaki!

- Super soft eye pencil for precise application, long-lasting.
Goes perfectly with the neutral palette.

4. Essence Black mania - carbon black volume mascara

- Gives lashes ultimate volume, with carbon black pigments for intensely stunning black lashes.

LIPS:

1. Essence Lipliner - 01 Soft Rose

- Soft and precise application, long-lasting.
This lipliner  is perfect to create a nice pinky-nude lip. 

2.Essence Stay with me longlasting lipgloss - 06 Berry me

- A colourful lipgloss for glossy lips.
This glosses are great not just because of their staying power, but also because of their great color payoff.

3.Essence lipgloss - 22 Italian lover

- A lipgloss for glamorous shine.
This was one of  my favorite lip glosses years ago. I think I repurchased this shade at least 10 times. I was very glad to see it in this set and go down memory lane.

4.Essence Cream gloss with cocoa butter - 02 Cocoa butter

- Moisturizing cream gloss for smooth and glossy lips (smells like cocoa).
Amazing product! I can't believe that I never purchased it in the past. It is surprisingly the most moisturizing lip gloss I own.

NAILS: 

1. Essence Nude glam nail polish - 01 Cotton candy

- A nail polish that is perfect for a trendy nude look. For higher coverage apply twice.

2.Essence Colour&Go quick drying nail polish - 51 Mellow Yellow

- Nail polish with a flat brush - quick dry: trendy nail style within seconds!
It goes on very smoothly and it has amazing fine yellow glitter in it. Perfect for spring and summer.

3.Essence Multi dimension XXXL shine nail polish - 66 Most Wanted

- Special formula for long-lasting, high covering & extreme glossy finish.
I love the glossyness of this nail polish. 

4.Essence Glitter topcoat 

- For an extra sparkling manicure result. Extends the lasting power of the nail polish.
I have been wearing it over Most Wanted and I love the combination. Sadly I am saying goodbye to darker colors since spring is around the corner(it's sadly still snowing in Slovenia)!

FACE STUFF + NAIL STICKERS: 

1. Essence Nail Art sticker

2.Essence Nail Art tattoo

3.Essence pure skin 

- Anti-spot T-zone mask. Essence pure skin with clearderm - complex for beautiful and pure skin.
I am looking forward to giving this a go.

4.Essence Pure mineral powder make-up - 02 Soft Sand

- 100% minerals, no preservatives, no perfume, soft like powder, covering like a foundation, long-lasting.

This is a lovely mineral foundation. It is perfect for my skin and I love the natural finish of it. Sadly it is a little too dark for me right now, but I think that it will be perfect for summer when I really don't like using too much makeup.

The last piece of the set is the clear makeup bag.
This set was only 9, 90 € and I don't regret at all the purchase.
I hope there will be other offers like this again :)

NOTD: Rosegold Glitter

Last night I went out for a girls night out and I was really excited to change up my nails and doll them up a little. And what better color, to brighten up a pale complexion like mine, than red. But I had to mix things up a little and add some glitter to it.

How to achieve this look :

Step 1: I applied some nail repair cream on my cuticles and 1 coat of the Essence Ultra Strong- nail repair base coat. 

If you have brittle and soft nails like me, this product will help a lot by strengthening your nails. And also it gives you a nice base to start of a great manicure. 

I've also noticed that some nail polishes that have a streaky application are better if I apply this product underneath. 

Step 2: Next I applied 1 coat of the Golden Rose Paris nail polish(no.45) on my ring finger and on my thumb. 

It's a beautiful golden color and it makes the perfect base for the rosegold glitter.

Step 3: I used 1-2 coats (depends on the density of glitter that you want) of the Golden Rose Jolly Jewels nail polish(no.103).

This nail polish has the most beautiful rosegold glitter that I have ever seen. It is a mixture of a gold nail polish with gold shimmer and rosegold glitter particles. 

Step 4: Last I applied 2 coats of the Golden rose Selective nail polish(no.30 Glam Red) to the rest of my fingers. 

This is a red nail polish with shimmer in it. I love it because it is different than my other red nail polishes. It's not streaky and it is very easy to apply. You don't have to wait for the first coat to completely dry to apply the next one, so that is another plus for it.

I love mixing and combining nail polishes like this.

NOTD: Bling to my Teal

Long time, no see (post) ...

Today I was in the mood to do my nails and glam them up a little, that is why I took my time and painted them in this blueish teal color. 

I was away for the holidays and I had a lot of fun, but also I did a lot of shopping, especially nail polish shopping. In those bags were these two nail polishes that I used today. They are both from the brand Golden Rose and were very nice and affordable.

The first one in the Golden Rose Paris nail polish in the color no. 69 - this is a very fun glittery topcoat, because it has a lot of different colors, but when you apply it it isn't as crazy as it seems. It is a nice glitter top coat if you want to pull day and night nails. 

The second one is the new Golden Rose Rich Color nail polish in the color 19 - it is a beautiful color and it is teal/turquoise and on the pictures it looks more blue but in reality it has more green.
On the bottle it says that this nail polish is ultra shining and long lasting, it has a maxi brush for an easy application and that you can  getaway with putting only one coat.
I agree that the nail polish is opaque and that it is easy to apply, it is not streaky at all.
It is also shiny, but if it is long lasting we will see in the next couple of days.
I will keep you posted on that matter. 

I do recommend you to try out this brand of nail polishes, because I think that you get a great nail polish for a great price.

Purple Gradient Nail Tutorial

Yesterday I finally had some free time to get my nails done and I was in a mood for a gradient look. 

What you need to achieve this nails are a range of nail polishes that go from a lighter to a darker color and a sponge. It is really easy it just takes a lot of patience but I swear it is worth it. 

STEP 1 : 
Apply a base color to your nails (1 coat). 

STEP 2 : 

Take the next color that you have selected, in my case a darker blue purple and start applying it with your sponge. to get a nice color effect on your nail.

STEP 3: 

Take the darkest color that you have chosen and apply it onto the sponge. Now for the first application I recommend you to first do a few press downs to a paper just to get the excess nail polish of  the sponge.

Start pressing the sponge at the top of the nail and work your way down. The nail polish will start to fade away as you get closer to the bottom of your nail.

Repeat that step until you are happy with the intensity of your nail polish, but remember always to start at the top because the edge of your nail should be the darkest. 

When you are done building up the color let it dry and finish of your look with a glossy top coat.

1. Bourjois 1 second nail polish - 02 Rose delicat

2. Essence nail polish - Snow White collection - 08 Dopey

3. Konad nail polish (I don't know the color name or  number)

Alternative : 

If you don't like the darkest color to be glittery you can use OPI's Linkin park after dark.

Glittery Nail Of The Day

Since I haven't been posting anything for a long time I decided to do an easy post today, just to start off my summer blogging. So the past week I've been all about glitter nails. And today I painted them with this beautiful duo polish. It reminds me of a starry night, it's simply lovely. 

I used Essence's nail polish from the Circus collection in the color 01 My sparkling acrobat.

If you don't like to use dark colors in the summer I have another option for you so you can have glittery nails all summer long. 

I would recommend you to use the Essence Twins nail polishes in the color Romeo & Julia.

Step 1 is the base coat called Romeo.

Step 2 is the glitter topper called Julia.
