Winter Picks: Nails

Hello, hello !

This monthI'm starting a new mini series in which I will be sharing with you my most worn Nail polishes/ Eyeshadows/ Lipsticks throughout winter. 

Today it's time for lots of nailpolish - 10 shades if I'm more acurate. I love these shades this year a lot cause I love changing up my nailpolish very frequently. Too frequrntly in fact.
Let's be real folks - I have a problem ! 

Well jokes aside - I don't know what it is about winter but I love wearing deeper tones and all of theese that I picked are truly magnificent.

- Deep Night Tones -

I'm starting with the most dramatic ones.
I discovered Essie's After School boy blazer (btw how cute is that name) last yeat and I've been obsessed. It's a deep blue color, it almost seems that you are wearing black nail polish, but you're not.

Hyde in the park was a recent discovery from one of the LE collecion that Catrice have out every month. It's the prettietst and I love wearing it on a night out.

Brandy desert is a vampy berry collor (my fave one for the winter season -  and may I add that I have too many fashion items in that particular color). Enough said !

I picked up this KIKO nail polish when I went to Malta this summer, they had a nice little shop at Bologna's airport and I couldn't resist to pick up a few items to try, since a lot of bloggers have been raving about this brand. I don't have a lot of deep browns in my collection, and this one is not just your tipical brown, but it has copper shimmer too. It's a win win situation for me.

- Winter Shimmers -

There is something apealling to me about having a shimmery nail polish on snowy days. Although there haven't been as many snowy days this winter as I'd like them to be, I still hope for one more "snow storm" just to say goodbye to snow. I love snow can't you tell !

Paralilac is the all year round go to taupe nailpolish for me. It suits my style and it has the right amount of shimmer. I can't remember when I got it, but it was a part of a Catrice LE collection.

I  also picked up Extravaganza on a trip last year when I went to visit Bratislava for a day (I even made pictures for a post, I just never got around to post them - maybe I'll do like a traveling post).
It's a party in a nail polish bottle. That's the perfect description. 

This one is from the same trip in KIKO as the dark brown one. I have nothing like it in my collection which with the amount of it that I own it surprises me a lot.
I wish I had an eyeshadow that was this color.

- Warm Afternoons -

When it's too cold outside I like to pretend that I'm warm just by playing make belif with the color of my nailpolish.

Golden Rose - 109; Catrice - Chromeo&Julia; Essie - Twin Sweater Set

I remember bloggers posting pictures on this collection and I fell in love with Chromeo and Julia right then and there. The next day I picked it up. It the most beautiful marble polichrome nail polish I own.

Twin sweater set is an all time favorite for me. It's the first Essie nailpolish I purchased. I love everything about it. It's one of my favorite reds from my collection.

GR 109 - I picked up this one this summer. I loved it all through fall and because of it's warm color I keep reaching for it.

Spending my summer with Naked Pink nails, my Apricot lips and my Tickled cheeks !

How are you today? How are you spending the last days of summer? :)
Today I have a slightly different post for you.
It is my first time reviewing products that I haven't purchased, instead I was sent some stuff by the lovely Anja from Moja Drogerija.
Moja Drogerija is a very known web site here in Slovenia that has a lot of brands of makeup that are not available in our drugstores in Slovenia.
I have ordered from it before and I've always been very happy with the products and the service, so if you haven't checked it out yet please do it ! :) You won't be disapointed with what it offers.

Danes imam nekoliko drugačno objavo za vas.
Prvič ocenjujem izdelke, ki jih nisem kupila, ampak sem jih dobila iz strani Anje iz Moja Drogerija.
Moja Drogerija je zelo znana spletna stran tukaj v Sloveniji, ki ima veliko blagovnih znamk ličil, ki niso na voljo v naših drogerijah v Sloveniji.
Sem že prej naročala in sem bila vedno zelo zadovoljna z izdelki in storitev, tako da, če jo še niste preverili kar hitro dajte! :) Saj ne boste razočarani s tem, kar ponuja.

I got to chose a nail polish and a lipgloss from the NYX Girls Collection and also I ordered a NYX Girls blush.
Imela sem priložnost izbrati lak in gloss iz kolekcije NYX Girls, naročila sem pa tudi rdečilo, prav tako iz iste kolekcije.

1. NYX Girls nail polish - Naked Pink

I love this nail polish color. I have had quite a nice share of time to wear it and play around with it and it was my best companion on my trip to Macedonia and Greece this summer.
I love the color and the packaging. It is very nice and girly. I love the noise it makes when I'm trying to reach for it, since the bottle is glass :)
Obožujem to barvo laka. Imela sem kar lep delež časa, da ga nosim in se igram z njim, prav tako pa je bil moj najboljši spremljevalec počitnic v Makedoniji in Grčiji to poletje.Obožujem barvo in embalažo. Je zelo lepa in punčkasta. Ljubim hrup, ki ga naredi, ko ga poskušam doseči, saj je steklenica  iz stekla :)

The formula is a little sheer for me. I usually go for more opaque nailpolishes, but at least it's not too sheer.
I like to apply two coats for the perfect look which you can see in the picture.
If you like a sheer aplication than it will be great even with one coat. It is a plus that it does not apply streaky. 

Formula je rahlo prozorna zame. Ponavadi imam raje goste lake, ampak vsaj formula ni preveč prozorna.
Rada namažem dva sloja za popoln videz, kar lahko vidite tudi na sliki. Če vam je všeč rahlo prozorna aplikacija , boste zadovoljni tudi z enim slojem. 

Would I purchase other shades? YES I most deffinately will !
Ali bi naročila tudi druge odtenke? Da, vsekakor bom! 

2. NYX Girls gloss - Apricot

Another summer vacation best friend of mine was this lovely gloss.
It's a coral lipgloss that gives a nice shine to your lips and it has no shimmer in it.
I have my fair share of lipglosses but I seem to enjoy this one a lot. It's not just because coral is my favourite color, but also because of the formula of this gloss. 

Moj drugi počitniški najboljši prijatelj je bil ta gloss. 
To je koralni lipgloss, ki daje lep sijaj ustnicam brez shimmerja. Imam svoj kar obsežen delež glosov, vendar se mi zdi, da uporabljanje tega mi je kar precej v veselje. 
To ni samo zato, ker koralna je moja najljubša barva, ampak tudi zaradi formule tega glossa.

It is very creamy and glossy and what I love the most is that it's not at all sticky.
So if you are a fan of non-sticky lip glosses, you will love it. 
Je zelo kremast in sjajen in kar mi je najbolj všeč - sploh ni lepljiv. Torej, če ste ljubiteljice nelepljivih  glossov, vam bo ta zagotovo všeč.

Would I purchase other shades? Yes, I've already added two more shades to my wishlist. 
Ali bi naročila tudi druge odtenke? Da, sem že dodala dva odtenka na moji wishlisti.

3. NYX cream blush - Tickled

This cream blush is the last thing I got to complete my coral insanity. 
As you can see from the picture it is a coral blush with gold shimmer.
To kremno rdečilo je zadnja stvar, ki sem jo dobila da končam mojo koralno norost. Kot lahko vidite iz slike je koralni rdečilo za obraz z zlatim sijajem. 

I have been loving glowy cheeks all year round but I have never before tryed a cream shimmery blush.
That is why this blush was a justified purchase for me.
It is very creamy which makes it easily blendable. You can apply it with your fingers or with a brush. 
It has a lovely finish on the skin and it isn't patchy.
And if you are adventurous enough you can also use it as a lip product. 

Rada imam sijoča ​​lica čez vse sezone leta, vendar še nikoli prej nisem preizkusila kremno rdečilo s shimmerjem.
Zato je to rdečilo bilo upravičen nakup zame.
Je zelo kremast, kar omogoča enostavni in enakomerni nanos . Uporabite ga lahko s prsti ali s čopičem.
Ima lep finish na koži in nanos ni neenoten. Če ste dovolj pustolovski, ga lahko uporabljate tudi kot izdelek za ustnice.

Would I purchase other shades? I would like to try a cream blush without shimmer in the near future. 
Ali bi naročila tudi druge odtenke? Želela bi probati kremno rdečilo brez shimmerja.

Would you rather TAG !

It's been a long week for me so I wanted to do more relaxing blogs this week and for today's blog I chose the Would you rather TAG !

1.) Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
I would rather lose all my palettes and eyeshadows because I can always use different colored eyeliners to replace eyeshadow, whereas I could never replace mascara with eyeshadows.

2.) Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?

I love Rapunzel's hair and I would be thrilled to let my hair grow without cutting it and be able to have a different look everyday so that could be fun.

3.) Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?

Coral cheek and I can't really explain my strange obsession with coral but I love how it brightens up my complexion.

4.) If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?

No doubt about it - makeup. 

5.) Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?

This one is tricky, I really had to think about it and I think that I would rather apply eyeliner as lipstick, because if I apply lipstick as eyeliner it would run and get messy.

6.) Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?

I'm not from the Usa but I think I'll go with Sephora because it has a lot of different brands to choose from.

7.) Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?

One lip color. I think that you can play a lot more with eyeshadow to achieve different looks than if you have only one eyeshadow. At least for me and my features that's how it is.

8.) Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?

Summer clothes in winter for sure, because you can layer them to be warm, where as if you have winter clothes in summer it's going to get very hot and unpleasant.

9.) Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?

I am really in a dillema about this one but after thinking about it I would rather go with brights, because they make you happy and all the looks can be fun and bright all year long.

10.) Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?

I would give up my favorite lip product, because again mascara is my favorite eye product and I can not live without it, it makes too much of a difference to any look you want to pull off. 

11.) Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?

I'm going with a messy bun here, because i love how effortless it looks and you can glam it down or glam it up. And it is a little bit better and looser than a ponytail which is a plus for me. I don't know if you have noticed it, but when I wear my hair in a nice ponytail for a whole day at the end of the day I feel that my head hurts a little from tugging my hair. So because of that feeling I am choosing the messy bun.

12.) Would your rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?

Well this was kind off easy because lately I haven't been using a lot of lipgloss and i've been getting myself more into lipsticks. So my answer is: I would rather never use lipsgloss.

13.) Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?

I took the most time to answer and think about this one. I don't think any of this looks would flatter me. But I guess better to have eyebrows than not have them at all. 

14.) Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?

I can't believe I'm saying this but I would rather live without nail polish. And this is coming from the girl that has a big nail polish collection.
But the thing is I love makeup too much to give it up. I love doing natural looks and bright and fun looks and it helps me express myself I think so that is why I went with it.

NOTD: Rosegold Glitter

Last night I went out for a girls night out and I was really excited to change up my nails and doll them up a little. And what better color, to brighten up a pale complexion like mine, than red. But I had to mix things up a little and add some glitter to it.

How to achieve this look :

Step 1: I applied some nail repair cream on my cuticles and 1 coat of the Essence Ultra Strong- nail repair base coat. 

If you have brittle and soft nails like me, this product will help a lot by strengthening your nails. And also it gives you a nice base to start of a great manicure. 

I've also noticed that some nail polishes that have a streaky application are better if I apply this product underneath. 

Step 2: Next I applied 1 coat of the Golden Rose Paris nail polish(no.45) on my ring finger and on my thumb. 

It's a beautiful golden color and it makes the perfect base for the rosegold glitter.

Step 3: I used 1-2 coats (depends on the density of glitter that you want) of the Golden Rose Jolly Jewels nail polish(no.103).

This nail polish has the most beautiful rosegold glitter that I have ever seen. It is a mixture of a gold nail polish with gold shimmer and rosegold glitter particles. 

Step 4: Last I applied 2 coats of the Golden rose Selective nail polish(no.30 Glam Red) to the rest of my fingers. 

This is a red nail polish with shimmer in it. I love it because it is different than my other red nail polishes. It's not streaky and it is very easy to apply. You don't have to wait for the first coat to completely dry to apply the next one, so that is another plus for it.

I love mixing and combining nail polishes like this.

NOTW + Review

A while ago I purchased a new nailpolish. 

It is the Bourjois 1 seconde GEL nail polish.

As soon as I saw it, I fell in love with it.
It's already May and this is such a great spring and summery color. 

I've been wearing it  for a week now and I love it.

It is the shade No.7 - fuchsia bucolique

This is only one coat of the nail polish. 

What I like about it is the texture of the polish. 
It is thick and opaque. 

It stays pretty long and nice on your nail, but if you don't want it to chip in a day or two, I recommend you to apply one more coat so it stays on longer with no chips.
